Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter, an American actor and producer, is known for her acclaimed performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. At a young age she began acting on stage in various Broadway or Off Broadway productions. It has always been her passion. In the fifth grade she portrayed Helen Keller in an original play. When she was in the fifth grade after having mumps she lost hearing in the left ear. She did not allow that to stop her. While in college, she studied drama after which she relocated to New York City with her plans with her sights set. Hunter was trapped in the lift of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. She relocated into Los Angeles and tried to land films roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. In the last three decades she's appeared in many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and has been awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
